The Sextile or 60-degree Aspect is a blending together of the principles of Gemini and Libra (Air), these are also the 3rd and 11th House principles in pure mathematical Astrology.
Throughout history the Sextile Aspect has been thought of as a most favorable Aspect because it was believed to be complimentary in nature. IMHO this is the best Aspect to have in a Horoscope.
The Sextile is a Future oriented Aspect. The Sextile is also the only Astrological Aspect which combines two Air Signs together. Intelligence has always been associated with the Air Signs.
Intelligent people communicate. Communication is most the important attribute to the Sextile Aspect because when people really communicate, new ideas and concepts can be related and exchanged for the betterment of all. Sextile's are essential to have good long term relationships because just sex gets boring after a while.
