The opposition or 180-degree aspect is associated with the
Aquarius principle (Air) and the
7th House in pure Base 12 mathematical Astrology.
To most current Astrologers and to most of those from the
past, the Opposition Aspect has often been thought of as being unfortunate; probably
because "Oppositions" usually created dramatic change [the Aquarius principle]
in the life of an individual during one of its transits. In a natal Horoscope,
"Oppositions" usually mean an area of constant change for the native. However,
Opposition Aspects are not necessarily bad, they just require patience, sometimes lots of
patience. "Oppositions" are Future oriented Aspects and have the intention of
helping us to adapt for the imminent happenings.
Only the passage of time is required to endure Opposition
transits. In fact the key to successfully dealing with an "Oppositions" is to
wait till the Aspect is over before taking any action. Why?
Customarily, the majority of people spend a lot of time day dreaming and wishing for a
better future. Remember the old saying, "You had better be careful what you ask for
in LIFE, because you just might get it." By planning and visualizing we actually do
create our own futures. Many-times what we want and plan for doesn't happen immediately
because our timing was bad, so we give up on the project. Later after we have forgotten
about our first goal and have gone on to something else, the timing becomes right for our
original idea and we are surprised by the sudden changes we initiated years earlier.
When the Aspect has passed and if what you planned and
wanted to happen which has not occurred then and only then can you take action to get what
you want.
