Events and attitudes shaping the world when NEPTUNE was in VIRGO
were first of all and foremost the Stock Market crash and a world wide depression that
event brought on. That financial debacle by itself probably beget Nazi Germany. Germany
was a country in utter turmoil after the crash with the Ultra-conservative Brown Shirts
fighting the rising Communists. Hitler was the compromise candidate.
A major civil-war developed in Spain and several European
countries rushed in with new arms, virtually testing them on humans; many of those new
killing devices ended-up being staple weapons during W.W.II.
During the time that NEPTUNE was in VIRGO at times gangsters
virtually ruled both Chicago and New York. This came about because of Prohibition. Bonnie
& Clyde and John Dillinger became folk hero's because the robbed the banks everybody
hated for foreclosing on their farms and homes. During the time that NEPTUNE was in VIRGO
most working people were predisposed to support and work for the group or a committee
which had new ideas, in an effort to better their lives.
WW II became a foregone conclusion when Japan started occupying
the Pacific Rim countries and Germany began it's conquest to dominate Europe.
In the United States, Labor Unions and the labor movement became
big and powerful fairly quickly because of the Depression. Those Labor struggles were
violent at times. Politically the Labor Unions became very powerful by the time the war
broke out.
Hoover was elected President in 1928 but the country floundered
until 4 years later with the election of FDR and the implementation his New DEAL.
The Communists made significant gains through-out the world when
NEPTUNE was in VIRGO because they offered a new way, a new kind of government to many
people and country's. Ideally; Communism is a very seductive idea. But in practice
communism usually becomes more corrupt than capitalism. Oh well.
