Europe plans an economic, political and social union. Technology
becomes a new business growth area and the personal computer is invented by Apple. A world
wide network of American military and science computers is set-up. University and
institutions soon hook up to this network of computers and begin sharing information. This
network eventually becomes what is called the Internet, today.
Real Estate Up, OIL up and Gold UP, in price that is. Inflation
and high interest rates become a real problem in the world, these financial realities are
driven by insane oil prices. Too much over optimism in business and the Arab states get
greedy! The Asian Tigers [pacific rim countries that begin to become economic powerhouses]
form a new world business center based in and around Hong Kong. That financial bubble
bursts in 1997 when Thailand has to devalue it currency, the rest of the Asian Tigers,
Korea, Indonesia, Singapore must soon follow because all their economies were less than
free markets.
