Members of the LDS Church have very little contact with people who aren't Mormons because their leaders sorta prohibit it. This clever manipulation is not done overtly but very subtly. Once you are Mormon you are expected to spend most of your free time in the church or working for the church in some capacity. As a good Mormon you are also supposed to donate at least 10% of your income to the LDS Church.
